"Leadership is the ability of a single individual through his or her actions to motivate others to higher levels of achievement"

As F. G. Rodgers once said "Leadership is the ability of a single individual through his or her actions to motivate others to higher levels of achievement"

This means, according to Rodgers, that a person without the ability to motivate individuals to higher lever of achievements does not have leadership qualities. I do not only agree with Rodgers, but would also add that; a leader is someone who, if he/she does not want to push you to higher levels, must at least maintain the current level of achievement you have done.

The team leader is someone who divides work equally between his team and watches movies.
No no,

The team leader is someone who puts all the load on one member while the rest are watching movies.
No no,

The team leader is someone who puts loads on some people while he and his friends watch some movies or Gos knows what.

Today, my supervisor was able to use the fact that he came early for once to assign me the hardest e-mails from the buttom two days in a row. Very well done. I did check those when I first came but I can do pretty much nothing but finishing the e-mail first :P

Leaders who exercises power..

Someone once said "The leader who exercises power with honor will work from the inside out, starting with himself."

Any leader can excercise power, but in my opinion, the leader is someone that is loved. Unlike the boss. This quote goes for both; but when someone names himself a team leader, it's not only a position, it is something that you should deserve. Rather than shouting and creating problems between your subordinates, go do the job. A leader who wants to be a leader, has to work from the inside out, and should cover for his team rather than being covered by them. If a leader needs to be covered, what's the reason of being there at the first place.

The reason why I did not like what my supervisor did today was that rather than doing the e-mails that nobody in his team claimed responsibility of doing; he spent shouted using the F word to know who did it.

Busy, yet productive..

Today was a good day, my shift started from 11:00 and will finish at 7:00 am. I finished my e-mails as usual within the first two hours and then spent the 3rd hour doing CRM cases. Since we did not have a lot of phone calls, I managed to finish everything within the first three hours and spent the rest taking online chat. Now, there are some problems that apparently are here in the department but no one seems to have interest in solving them. So, as usual, the only way to solve any problem is to work on it on your own time.

We have huge problem in keeping the new staff cope with the previous information; which means that I definitely have to work on adding more Knowledge Base articles than the ones already submitted/published.

Also, we need to have some kind of set rules on how the supervisor should cover his subordinates when they lack good work and how they should work as a team.

A good team is a team that has at least one person that is good in one thing. A good team is a mixture of both hard-workers and normal ones who cover for each other. A good team is a team where there is always productivity beyond the normal ones.

Anyway, I don't want to talk more behind my supervisor, so I'd rather end since my break is over by now..
